515 LBS SQUAT!!!

This blog isn’t to brag or just to highlight a big accomplishment. I used to squat heavy all the time to train to get to this number or more but after my knee surgery in February I didn’t think I would be able to squat this much again for a while. I wasn’t able to squat over 400 for the whole summer and all of spring training. So I didn’t think I would be able to get this high. I went to my coach and asked him how high could I go and he told me 405 which is a lot but not a crazy amount. I was discouraged. I just said the hell with it and told him I was going to do more. So I loaded it up after multiple sets. Once I lift the bar to unrack it. I was like “ Oh F***”. My teammates were cheering me on and I thought in the back of my head, this is what I asked for. Ask I went down I started to gather, how the hell am I going to get back up. Once I started on my way up it was easier than I thought and I pressed through and got it up. I don’t know what chemical were released once I racked the weight, but I was over an extreme high and excited about my New PR.
